Off to Dallas!

This weekend, I am in Dallas spending some much needed time with my parents and my sister. Unfortunately, this trip isn't much of a vacation... but more of a challenge of eating as much as I can, shop, and make some spa time.

Uh, yes, Giraffes. People in Dallas love to do things BIG. I guess a Korean spa is not much different, although giraffes have nothing to do with spas.

We'll be eating at Omi Korean Grill, an all you can eat Korean BBQ place.
I'll also be visiting my mom's great soul food restaurant (Tomorrow's Seafood). One of my most common requests when in Dallas is to bring back my mom's fried chicked. I really wish I could. Even better, I wish there was a way my mom could ship it to Philadelphia. Until then, I'll keep flying out to Dallas.
Somewhere around there, we'll also be going to eat some authentic Japanese food, and hitting up some lobster and clam bake. Kudos to my sister for seeking out some quality places.

I will be back Tuesday. I'll be the one being rolled off the plane.

A day of rest....

So after a wonderful but labor intensive wedding for Sara and Kevin, my team and I hopped back onto the wedding saddle and set up for the Hibachi Bridal Show.
No pictures yet! But coming soon.
It was a great event - and we enjoyed the beautiful weather (but with A/C) in the ballroom of Hibachi - which has two wall-length windows.

cHill Weddings designed the 3 show tables and also invited all the sponsor vendors, who all helped to make the event a success.
I also would like to thank my wonderful clients for stopping by to say hello. And lastly, special thanks to Christine and Justin for coming by! My lovely newlywed friends came from NYC just to see me in action! I love when friends care.
So... with the craziness of this weekend, my legs, feet, and back are killing me. Nothing better than a nice long massage. I amped it up to 75 minutes aromatherapy (I don't think I have any knots so a deep tissues isn't necessary today) - I think I will probably pass out the moment my head going into the donut thingy.
Special thanks to Ame Salon and Spa for fitting me in last minute!
PS- We might be a bit blogging slow this week. We have two weddings on Saturday, plus a family friend's Bat Mitzah, brunches, and meetings galore - so please be patient while you wait for our next posts. If you really start to itch for me, just send me some comment love!

Spa Week!

I don't know about you, but I LOVE spas. I love saunas, massages, facials, everything. Being pampered is fun!

Nikki from Spa Week Blog contacted me recently to introduce Spa Week's blog. Spa Week itself has been around for a while and they have promotions in many different cities where you can go and get a 50 minute facial for a fraction of the actual cost! It's a great way for spas to promote their services during this week.

The Spring Spa Week will be announced on March 16, but until then, you can peruse through their past spas that have participated in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh area:

Now back to the blog, Nikki has been blogging about spas, giveaways, promotions, and sometimes dabbles on celebrity gossip and fashion. They're fun quick reads, and definitely worth checking out if you are a big "spa-head" like myself.

Here are some additional February events/promotions:

The Ultimate Day of Beauty Giveaway
What: SpaWeek.org and WeddingChannel.com have teamed up with Red Door Spas to offer one lucky bride and up to five of her bridesmaids a “Bridal Bouquet Package,” redeemable at any Red Door Spa. How: Visit http://www.spaweek.org/content/promo/reddoor and enter to win. There is only one entry per email address so make sure the entire wedding party enters!
Why: Because on your special day, there’s no such thing as too much pampering.

Spa Week Pays it Forward
What: Starting February and lasting through March, SpaWeek.com is paying it forward by giving away five $50 Spa Week gift cards in all 25 markets. Consumers can pay it forward by telling their friends about the opportunity, which automatically makes them eligible to win the Grand Prize: a spa vacation at Red Mountain Resort & Spa in Utah.
How: Go to Spa Week for your and your friends’ chances to win.
Why: Rack up some good karma and possibly win a free vacation and Spa Week treatment while you’re at it.

Allure Magazine Giveaway
What: Throughout February, Spa Week and Allure Magazine are giving away Dior’s entire Spring 2009 Makeup Collection. Think pretty pinks, nudes, and taupes. The package retails for more than $500!
How: Visit Spa Week to see how you can win three eye-shadow palettes, eight lip colors, a limited edition face palette (an Allure Editors’ Favorite), nail polishes, and more!
Why: Because it’s cold, dreary and gray outside but that doesn’t mean your gorgeous face has to be!
