Back in early September I blogged about Anne and Dave's wedding which was celebrated Aug 31, 2008, one day before Labor Day.
Not only was it our first tented wedding, it was also our first Indian wedding!
Anne and Dave were sent to me by Doll Face Studio and I met with them while they were in town (hours before I flew out for the holidays). They were so lovely, including Anne's mother. That was the ONLY time I met with them before I saw them on their wedding day (aside for a quick final meeting a few days before the wedding). But Anne and I had weekly telecons to accomodate her law school/bar exam schedule and pacific time (they live in LA!). It was also so great to chat with her each week and help plan her beautiful wedding...
Here is a mosaic of the Indian Wedding details, which was held at the hotel where Anne and her bridesmaids got here: Hotel Fie Sole.
Once the Indian ceremony was over, her father hosted a lunch at the hotel. In the meantime, Lisa, Tasha, and I headed over to Aunt Nina's home to set up for the Catholic ceremony and wedding reception. Aunt Nina is Dave's aunt, and she was gracious enough to offer up her property for Dave and Anne to get married. Nina also got married there to her husband Donnie, and Dave and Anne even wed in front of the same cross Nina and Donnie did years ago.

I love this sweet picture of Anne and Dave as they walk down the aisle.
Here is a picture of the property taken in the spring. This is the where the tent was set up. Cocktail hour happened in front of the tent, facing the house.
Cocktail hour - several hightops with ivory linen, with speciality Pottery Barn Green and White cloth napkins (they were finally able to find them at a store in Puerto Rico!), with a large hurricane vase with pillar candle. We added extra hydrangea pieces to add a bit more dimension to each table.
Instead of the traditional guest book, Anne chose to do a wishes guest book where guests left notes. Each jar stood for something different.
Anne created a seating chart by table - and each table was named for restaurants Anne and Dave have been to.
Picture of inside the tent before the sun set:
The wedding colors were ivory, green, and brown. It was very nice. I love the way green pops in all the centerpieces.
Inside the tent once the sun set with all the candles lit:
It was absolutely beautiful and so romantic. Anne had purchased sheer cloth curtains from Ikea, and we used them as drapped curtains around the tent. It was mainly used in the beginning to prevent guests from seeing inside the tent before and during the ceremony and cocktail hour.
All flowers were done by Aunt Nina and her friend. Nina turned her garage into a huge walk in fridgerator. It was amazing! The love and dedication she has for Dave and Anne is truly remarkable!
Detail shots of the menus Anne made for all her guests:
And her beautiful, unique bolero jacket for her stunning dress!
Cup cakes, cake, and cookie all by Brown Betty!
