Janelle and Kevin were married at St. Augustine Church in Olde City on May 30th, 2009. The ceremony was officiated by family friend, Father Efren.
Their ceremony was a full Filipino Catholic Mass. The church was so beautiful on its own that it did not need any extra decor.
Janelle wore an absolutely stunning, yet delicate, lace gown by Vera Wang, which was accompanied by a cathedral length veil.
This was taken in Janelle's parents foyer. Gorgeous!
Kevin wore an ivory paisley tie and vest, with suit from Mens Warehouse.
The men got ready at the Hyatts in Pennslanding and Jerry's daughter got some amazing pictures of the guys with the Moshulu and the river in the backgroun.
Jerry and his daughter and second shooter took the bride and groom and the wedding party around Olde City for some really sweet pictures.
Jerry asked the bridal party to take over some tables and to relax as Kevin and Janelle walked by. I love how relaxed everyone looks.
I had the pleasure of helping Janelle and Kevin with their planning. They did book me later than most couples usually do... I think it was in March? cHill Weddings helped find them transportation, lighting, video, tuxes, and took care of some floral decor.
Here are some pics from my iphone, while I briefly relaxed before loading up my little jetta with boxes and boxes of stuff for the wedding.
Glen Foerd is a large mansion that has many rooms. Dinner was inside the actual mansion, while the introductions, first dance, toasts, and all dancing were out in the conservatory. Janelle asked us to design the floral look for the conservatory. It was completely different from the centerpieces provided by Flower and Balloon for the dinner, but still worked with the same color scheme so the overall look was very cohesive.
We had two extra trays of wheatgrass, so we cut them up and put them in little wicker baskets Janelle had, and propped up their table names.
Special thanks to Necoh of Royal Design Flowers for putting in an emergency order of wheatgrass for me!
Here is a pic of the bucket full of bouquets that were to be placed into tall vases for the tables in the conservatory at Glen Foerd. Each bouquet was 4 Sarah Peonies with a few curly willow branches. They were later placed into vases with river rocks (vase and rocks provided by Janelle).

I had some hurriance vases, with we filled with crystal fillers and a little led light. We wired on 6-7 freeze dried orchids on a the curly willow. These were placed along the dance floor.
Here is a pic of the inside of my jetta. It was PACKED! In my car, I had two full trays of wheatgrass, all 9 hurricane vases (1 vase's base was cracked and crystal filler flew everywhere on my garage floor). I also had a big computer monitor, laptop, speakers, Janelle's reception dress, box full of candles, box of carnation heads, cake set, cylinders, photoframes...

My lovely assistant, Lauren, had her little Jeep Wrangler. In her car, we packed in two full buckets of peonies and two trays of wheatgrass table number holder basket things. :)

I have to give Janelle and Kevin all the credit in the world. While planning a wedding for about 140 guests in DC, they collected a lot of items and designed the placecards (little seed packets) and table numbers. They made MANY trips back and forth to Philadelphia to complete the planning.
They really are one of a kind, and a great couple, with a great families as well. The wedding was stunning and I can't wait to see more pictures of the reception. But in the meantime, here is the slide show of images by Gerard Tomko. I got chills watching this slideshow at the reception...
