Kristen is an interior decorator and Paul is an animator, so they both have a keen eye on design.
When Kristen and Paul hired me, she said "My dad likes you because he thinks you'll keep me chill." Yes, and I hope it worked! The wedding day was beautiful. Rain stopped minutes before the ceremony, and the sun came out during photos and stayed until the guests arrived at the mansion.
By pure coincidence, we got to work with Doll Face Studios again, and it was fun!
We got to work with some other awesome vendors: Carl Alan Flowers, Well Spun Weddings, EBE's eFusion, and Conroy Catering.
My associate coordinator, Tasha, stayed behind at Loew's to be with Kristen and Paul, then oversaw the ceremony, along with Kirsten of Broad Street Ministry. Me and Lauren, the intern, were already over at Knowlton setting up Knowlton exactly to the way Kristen and Paul had invisioned it. Napkins were folded into pink hearts, pink and cream centerpieces with roses in different varieties, candle sticks, and a moss bed with hand made paper escort cards. The details that they POURED into this wedding were not missed.
Kristen and Paul, it was our Pleasure and Honor to work with you both on your beautiful wedding day. Your families are so precious, and you two are a fantastic couple together. Congratulations!
Kristen's dress was unique and absolutely stunning. It went so well with the victorian look of her venue I had to ask her which came first. The dress did... and I just have to believe everything came together around it. Her dress is Jim Hjelm.
Thank goodness for Krazy Glue in my emergency kit. Kristen decided she wanted a penny glued onto her shoe for good luck.
Paul and the boys all looked so handsome and dashing in their morning coats - with ascots. Very English, and I loved it.
Girls wore different shades of pink, and I thought it looked great.
I put together her bustle in the bridal suite upstairs, and after it was done, I realized that her dress had the prettiest bustle. It just fit perfectly with her dress and the delicate fabric. During the night, people kept stepping on the little bit of train, and eventually ripped her bustle, so Lauren (who also works at David's Bridal) and I created her a new bustle... and it looked awesome.
