I love how Whitney and Kyle met. It's the sweetest story, and very Philadelphia!
Whitney's brother (Kyle's best man) and Kyle were big Eagles fans who lived in Texas. Together they organized an Eagles @ Dallas game event. Whitney was also there. Months later, her brother found out they were dating.
I told their story to another couple a while back, and they said they thought they heard of a couple who met at the Eagles/Dallas game and now were engaged. It was Whitney and Kyle!
They were so sweet and great to work with. They booked me for Day of Coordination, and booked me at our first meeting! They hired me specifically to help in setting up and gathering up of all items at the end of night.
They got mr. and mrs. Eagles jerseys that guest signed in lieu of the traditional guest book.
Invitations:
I believe Kyle and Whitney designed all invitations, menus, and programs.
Flowers:
The flowers were done by Domenic Graziano, specially my good friend Tammy! At Northhampton Country Club, their wedding packages comes with centerpieces, but Whitney wanted something completely different. She had already started to collect branches and vases, and eventually, she handed them over to Tammy, who set up the reception, made the personal flowers, and also provided cake flowers.
It was still bright inside when this picture was taken, but you can see how beautiful it was. It was early December and we hadn't gotten much snow, and it didn't look like it was going to snow at all. But Whitney kept with the winter theme but incorporating lots of silver branches surrounded by candlelight. The linen and chair covers were black, with a silver sash.
The cake was provided by North Hampton Country Club. Tammy provided the flowers, but there was some confusion about a cake topper. They were given a pretty sculpture, which was placed on the cake table, but Tammy and I weren't sure if that was supposed to go on top of the cake. When Whitney came to see the cake, she noted that were supposed to be flowers on top of the cake. So I took the toss bouquet and disassembled it to make into a cake topper. I stole some dusty miller and white roses from the back of the cake and tried my darnest to make it look nice! Normally, the topper would be in the middle but I didn't have too many flowers to work it, I concentrated them towards the front since the cake was up against a wall.
The toss bouquet was replaced with a bridesmaid's bouquet.
The seating chart table.
I love seating charts! Although I love place cards for assigned seating, I'm not comfortable with the idea of guests carrying their escort cards in their pockets throughout cocktail hour. There's always a risk that they may throw it out or forget it's in there, and not know where to sit!
One of my favorite moments of the day was the end of their ceremony:
SPARKLERS!
It was a cold day out, but the guests braved it and held up their sparklers for the couple.
But the very best... it started to snow during the reception! It was just a sprinkle, but it was enough for Jaci to take some awesome pictures of Whitney and Kyle.
Thank you Whitey and Kyle for letting the cHill Weddings team (Duyen, Tasha, and myself) be a part of your spectacular day! We ended your night with rose petals on the bed with "L" for Love, or Lundy. ;)
Special Thank You to Jaci for providing the photos. I had such a great time sorting through them. Can't wait to work with you again! And thank you to my awesome team: Duyen and Tasha for working this wedding.
