Julia and Ryan - September 2008

Eric from Life Mosaic recently sent me the images from Julia and Ryan's wedding, and I am so excited to share this wedding with you!

Julia, Ryan, their families, and friends helped plan the wedding. Much of it was DIY: from the flowers to the candy buffet to the utensils...

The wedding venue was a beach house located in Monmouth Beach, NJ and they converted a very modern beach home into their wedding venue! They rented high tops and some bar stools, which acted as reception seating in the house, and they had traditional 60" round tables for the tented dancing area outside. The bars were set up inside and outside on the patio. The food was served buffet style, and each place setting was specially wrapped with a bow by Julia and her mother, Fran.

It was a very intimate affair, with many of their friends coming in from NYC. I've probably already mentioned this, but it was the best dressed wedding I've done to date. Forget the cocktail dresses and gowns, their friends were dressed in stylish pants with a cool shirt, accessorize with a cool fedora hat. Even the baby was wearing a suit!

Rain was predicted for the weekend, but again, no rain during the wedding. It started drizzling after the photos, but the rain held off for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and most of the reception. We are still rainfree for all weddings (someone knock on wood)!

Here are the photos!

The house...

I love this picture!

Julia with her maid of honor

One of the best candy buffets ever. They speciality ordered some of the candy to match their color scheme. The sour gummies are my favorite!

They each wrote their own vows, and read them from a large shell.

Her aunt made all the flowers for the ceremony, including personal flowers.

They provided soft paintbrushes for guests to wipe the sand off their feet.

Her father walking his daughter down to the ceremony. I love her veil in this shot... it's so etheral.

This was a unique ceremony in that all the guests were standing. The ceremony was about 10 minutes long, and champagne was served while they waited for the ceremony to begin. The guests were facing the ocean... it was so beautiful.

After the ceremony, the wedding party walked over to the beach for some photos. They had a very small wedding party (one on each side) and they were all great friends. Sometimes, the tiniest wedding parties are the best.

One of my favorite images...

The end!

Thank you Eric!!! Eric is located in NJ, but he does travel to Philadelphia for weddings. If you love this wedding, please go over to his site www.lifemosaicstudios.com and check out his gallery.
