cHill Weddings is based in Philadelphia, and I am the new exclusive wedding coordinator/consultant for Cescaphe Ballroom in Northern Liberties.
My obsession with weddings started when I was in highschool; buying a Knot magazine during my senior year and hiding it under the bed from my parents, for example. Then sometime in college, I dreamed of being a wedding coordinator, but it was always the pipe dream that seemed unrealistic. Instead, I pursured medicine, but 4 years later, here I am, a wedding coordinator.
The day after my own wedding, my usually skeptical and hard to please mother commented, "Maybe you should be a wedding planner..." The lightbulb went off in my head. I started thinking about how to start my business immediately after our honeymoon, and my new husband encouraged me with such enthusiasm, that ultimately drove this business prospect into reality.
A few months into the process, I was already speaking with some vendors, many who were also new to the business. I slowly started contacting more wellknown wedding vendors in the Philadelphia area, and they surprised me with their generosity in giving tips and advice on the wedding industry.
One day, I gathered up the courage to meet with a very reputable man named Joe who ran Cescaphe Ballroom. It was common knowledge that his wedding venue was booked for 2 years in advance and I was ready to ask him to refer me to his brides. I expected him to to mock me! Instead, he offered me something that any wedding consultant would be stupid to ignore: I was to be the exclusive wedding coordinator for Cescaphe! He was offering to pay me, to refer all his clients to me, and to teach me the ins and outs of the entire wedding business!
So here I am...
I'm blogging to write about my experience as a novice consultant, in addition to sharing some lovely pictures and links about anything that piques my interest about the wedding industry.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you stick around!

This is amazing. I know several other coordinators who would kill for the opportunity. Great job!
